COMMENTS:
One bright afternoon, we took a ride up the hills into the shantytowns of Montego Bay. we stopped at this tiny roadside shabeen where, sitting and sipping a Red Stripe was a blissful looking older guy in a Greek sailor’s cap who reminded me for all the world of Count Basie. And as he sat there taking in the beautiful island afternoon, a mangy stray, his snoot rummaging in the bottom of a paper bag, went around in aimless circles. |
